What is Mirnyj Home?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It is a place where we help people forced to leave their homeland.<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

Myrnyj Home was created for political refugees from Belarus. Now it houses mostly Ukrainian refugees. We help everyone, no matter their ethnicity or religion. Mirnyj Home concept is based on creating a substitute of a home. Being forced to migrate is a traumatic experience, therefore people subjected to it should not be isolated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Mirnyj Home has a common area, where inhabitants spend time together. They cook, watch TV, talk, but first and foremost, keep each other company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We used to manage four different locations. Due to financial reasons we had to narrow it down to one. The inhabitants list is constantly changing. People find stable employment and residence. They become independent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mirnyj Home provides them with a place to live in for a few months without worrying about survival. Foundation provides shelter, food, hygiene supplies and medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteers help with paperwork regarding legal stay in Poland and finding employment. The Foundation conducts occupational seminars and artistic classes for children and teenagers. A psychologist is available to inhabitants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Monthly upkeep of one Home is very steep, especially in winter. It can reach 30 000 PLN. The sum consists of building rental fees, heating, water, electricity and internet bills, food and cleaning supplies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mirnyj Home is a crucial help to start functioning in society on equal footing. Many ex-inhabitants decide to support the Foundation after achieving financial stability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
