Before we go anywhere, we train in Poland. Professionalism on humanitarian missions is the result of hundreds of hours of training – exercises like Equinox 2026.
A self-sufficient base
We started by setting up a complete base: the logistics module and our EMT FIX 1 clinic. This is essential for working in places where everything is missing – we have to be independent of local resources.
Specialist workshops
The first day was devoted to flood rescue, water supply and purification in the field, as well as wireless communication and command.
The second day brought workshops led by our partners, focused on modern technology and difficult environmental conditions:
- FAST ultrasound using VR – an innovative approach to trauma diagnostics
- ultrasound-guided cannulation – precision in obtaining vascular access
- hypothermia – treatment algorithms
- managing patients during floods, including electric shock in water, crush syndrome and compartment syndrome
Why the flood module matters to us
In 2024 our team worked in flooded areas in Poland. The experience from those operations and cooperation with partners in the field allowed us to draw concrete conclusions. We use them to improve our procedures and prepare better for similar crises.
Medical simulations
We finished by putting our knowledge into practice – running advanced simulations of in-hospital procedures. Not only medical skills, but also communication and teamwork. There is no effective rescue work without an exchange of experience.
