Working together on the arrangement Mirny Dom gave us the idea of a joint rest, which at the same time will allow the integration of refugees who came to us from Belarus. On March 20-23, the Humanosh Foundation organized a short trip to the village of Zhdynia, located in the Low Beskids.
The trip was held in the friendly company of Mirny Dom residents and Foundation volunteers: Irina, Sergei, Danila, Lyosha, Kati, Dasha and Sasha. We stayed at "Skopetska," the family home of the foundation's founders Peter and Kasia Skopets.

We spent the first evening on a long walk in the area. We saw the dam and the feeding grounds of beavers, hares and deer. Wildlife in its natural habitat is amazing. The mountainous terrain at sunset looked spectacular.

After admiring the local sights, we returned home and spent the rest of the evening by the fireplace and telling stories of life.

The next day was also full of beautiful views. In the morning we drove to the town of Jaworki located at the foot of the Pieniny Mountains, from where we set off on a hiking trail to Wysoka Skała - this is the highest peak of the Pieniny Mountains located outside the Pieniny National Park. During the hike we enjoyed beautiful views and took lots of photos. The road led along a mountain river, among high steep cliffs and a beautiful winter forest. Along the way, we encountered many natural attractions, such as the Stone Books and Yemerisk Rock. Our climb ended at the observation deck at the upper station of the Homole cable car.
We were impressed by the views of the High Rocks Biosphere Reserve and the highest mountain in the region. From the top there is a magnificent view of the Pieniny National Park, which is partly on Slovak territory. Since most of us were in the mountains for the first time, we experienced vivid and unforgettable emotions that will stay with us for a long time.
Returning to the town, we treated ourselves to goat cheese and rejuvenated with water from the mineral spring.

On Monday we went to a sawmill, where we were given tours of local logging and woodworking companies. This was especially interesting for the men. We looked at how machine tools and wood processing work, and talked with local residents and woodworkers.

The purpose of our trip was, among other things, to learn about small business in Poland, and to see what opportunities open up for anyone who wants to do their bit for the soul and earn money in Poland at the same time.
After the tour, we decided to warm up by the campfire and enjoy the beauty of the area once again at the end. We drove to a rest area that offered a magnificent view of the mountains. The views around us and the constant change of weather made this trip leave us with truly unforgettable emotions. We cooked over a fire, drank hot tea, played snowballs, took lots of photos and shared our impressions of the trip.

But another amazing experience awaited us on our way back to the overnight spot. Since the rest area was located in mountainous, impassable terrain, we reached it by jeeps and off-road vehicles. At one point the road led us to a mountain river, which we had to cross by car. We experienced new extreme sensations that we would like to experience more than once. The trip turned out to be very rich in new impressions and experiences, brought a long-awaited sense of peace, security and gave us the strength to move on.
